It is important to record your power of attorney in order for other people to know of its existence.
Certain businesses will require the power of attorney be recorded and stamped with a book and page before they will accept it.
Another good reason is that once you file it, you can always come to the Clerk's office to get a copy of it in case it is lost or destroyed.
